La Parrilla Project, Durango
La Parrilla is located in Durango State, Mexico, approximately 76 kilometers southeast of he capital city of Durango and is comprised of 41 contiguous mining concessions, covering 69,478 hectares. The complex hosts five underground mines and collectively produced 34.3 million silver-equivalent ounces between 2005 and 2019.
San Diego Mexico
The San Diego property is located in the prolific Velardeña mining district, within the municipality of Cuencame, in the northeast quadrant of the State of Durango, Mexico. The property is situated approximately 75 km southwest of the city of Torreon in the State of Coahuila and 160 km northeast of the city of Durango, approximately 9 km northeast of the Velardeña and Chicago properties owned by Golden Minerals Company Limited.
Silver & Zinc in Mexico
Exploration and mining in the Velardeña district extend back to at least the late 1500’s or early 1600’s. The mines were first worked by the Spanish with the high-grade ore mined by hand and processed on small scale by direct smelting. The Velardeña district is located at the easternmost limit of the Sierra Madre Occidental, on the boundary between the Sierra Madre Oriental and the Mesa Central sub-provinces. Both of these terranes are underlain by Paleozoic and possibly Precambrian basement rocks. Most of Mexico’s high-grade silver mines are located in the Mesa Central, near this contact.

Golden Tag Resources Ltd. is a Toronto based Canadian mineral resource exploration company. Much of Golden Tag’s exploration activity was involved in the search for and definition of gold in eastern Canada’s classical greenstone belts, however, the Company has expanded its exploration activities to include Mexico.
Exploration Since 2005
In 2005, the Company entered into a joint-venture agreement with ECU Silver Mining Inc. (now Golden Minerals Company) whereby Golden Tag could earn a 50% interest in the San Diego Property, Durango State, Mexico. Golden Tag vested into a 50% interest in the property in January, 2008. To date, over 33,000 meters of surface diamond drilling have been completed on the property. Golden Tag acquired the remaining interests of Golden Minerals in July 2016. Golden Tag now owns 100% interest.
